Location: Richmond, Greater London
Salary: £55,000 - £70,000/annum Car, Bonus & Excellent Benefits

A medium-size Developer is currently seeking an experienced Technical Manager who is from a Civils background and is keen to take responsibility for all matters relating to Civils across a number of sites from inception to completion.
This role will require someone from a strong technical background who has extensive residential experience with a Developer or Main Contractor.
Technical Manager Key Responsibilities:
•Confident writing technical reports to inform of the commercial and technical risks & opportunities of a development site and presenting these to the directors
•Appoint consultants for the duration of the project. Consisting of agreeing on the scope of works, contract/ warranty & fees. Sign off and Control budgets to ensure that the work produced as per contract and in a timely fashion.
•Liaising with Services Consultant to procure new on-site mains and service connections. Progressing legal agreements for onsite substations, cable diversions & wayleaves
•Lead team meetings either via workshops or formal DTM’s to cover the work stages in line with programme and deliverables and ensure full coordination moving to full detail design.
•Manage highway’s sectional agreements to build new roads/adoptions (S278/38), in both the temporary state and permanent. Developing a relationship with the local authority because of the complexity of creating new roads.
•Reviewing the design on an ongoing basis, identified/identifying potential interface problems & practicalities in construction, and resolve with the design team and specialist trade contractors where appropriate.
•Liaising with Council to achieve Technical Approval for S38 & S106
•Preparation of legal information, and establishing bonds and payments and discharge when and if required.
•Ensure Change Control tracker is implemented and kept up to date and ensure all relevant parties such as the design team, construction and commercial have approved and signed off accordingly.
•Request for Information (RFI tracker) to be implemented and controlled by the technical manager throughout the scheme must be answered within the agreed timeline of 10 days.
